The Best Bath Toys for Toddlers. Boon’s Pipes and Gears.

The story goes like this. I was having a regular Facetime chat with my oldest friend Stacy who lives not far from Orlando, Florida. While she was showing me in her kitchen a few of the different types of pacifiers her then 8-month-old son Samuel was refusing to take (oh, Mom life!), I saw on the countertop this really cool looking grass drying rack (below) and told her to quickly pause and tell me….what is that!?

Apparently everyone where she lives in Florida uses this innovative drying rack by Boon Inc, a company who creates a wide range of innovative, well designed and high quality products for children. They are focused on solutions for the everyday problems us parents face, and they are doing an amazing job at just that.

I went to their website and after I read the first sentence in their “About” section, “It’s funny how such a simple thing can lead to so much. It all began with a messy toddler bathtub.”, I knew I was in the right place.

Although I don’t have much room for the drying rack in my small Israeli kitchen (although they do make a compact version), as soon as I got to their bath toys I knew I found something special that I haven’t yet seen here in Israel.

With two boys aged 2.5 and 4.5, in the last few months since Tehila was born they have gotten bored of their regular bath toys of small trucks, mini buckets, and Hebrew letters to stick on the wall. They ended up just throwing water on each other, which of course drives me crazy and makes a huge flood in the bathroom, all while little Tehila is crying outside. Not a scene I want or need! (Anyone feel me here?)

Once I saw their Cogs (Gears) and Pipes I  knew it would be a hit! Like a mini Science Museum in the bath. The gears and pipes have strong suction to stick to the bathtub (they almost never fall off), and you can connect them in various ways and pour water through the pipes to make the different gears within move around. Endless fun for the boys, and a much calmer bath time for me. We all win.

Unfortunately, as of now, Boon doesn’t ship to Israel so I ordered them on Amazon (which can deliver to Israel),  but because my Dad came to visit last month I had him bring them with him.  I know this is not so convenient, but these two bath toys are such a hit in our house, I really wanted to share them with you and I know you will find a way to get them here.

Also by a recommendation from Stacy, I order their “Boon PULP Silicone Feeder. It is a teether where you can add in pieces of fruit or vegetables into the small compartment, where the baby can chew for hours and you don’t have to worry about choking. This is a product I wish I had for the boys. I will let you know how it is in the coming months, though not looking forward to teething…slowly, slowly.
